The Story of Moose and the Faithful Order

Everyone has a favorite animal, but those of us who went to school in Milledgeville in the early 90's are partial to the Moose.  This fine speci"man" could often be found hanging out at a local watering hole known as Cameron's.  In fact, one might say that he was Cameron's (Pi Kappa) Alpha male since he was responsible for letting only the finest folks in for a drink -- and sometimes for removing those folks after they'd reached their limit and begun to upset the rest of the herd.

Eventually, herds migrate to find new watering holes.  Friends get separated and lose touch.  It's been a while since some of us have seen our buddy Moose.  After leaving his Cameron's days behind him, Moose (who also answers to "Jeff Patterson" occasionally) settled down with a wonderful wife, Nicole, and became a loving dad to two beautiful girls, five-year-old Lauren and nine-month-old Claire.

Things were going well for Moose and his family.  Then, in late September, he received a devastating diagnosis -- advanced pancreatic cancer.  Strong person that he is, Moose is determined to fight this battle with cancer and win.  And his old friends from the watering hole want to do everything possible to support him. That's why we've chartered the Alpha Chapter of the Faithful Order of the Moose and planned a"Totally Awesome 80's Benefit & Silent Auction," from which all proceeds will go to help Moose and his family with medical bills and anything else that they need during this challenging time.

We hope y'all can attend the benefit on Saturday, November 8th, 2008, at The Velvet Elvis in Milledgeville and help us to raise money for a great guy and his beautiful girls.  See you there!
